These are just small snippets of info that I post here on an irregular basis.
Sunday 22ns November
Public Running Day and what a miserable one it was! The best day of the month and we had a total fire ban! I managed to do 2 laps before I was pulled off. Clark never got out of the yard and Barry and Brian never even got steam up.
It is just as well we have a few diesels in the club or we wouldn't have been running. As it was, the crowds were about half of what they should have been. Oh well, there's always next year.
Since I couldn't drive, I wandered around taking a few photos. Nothing exciting, but I had to do something.

I need not suffer in silence while I can still moan, whimper, and complain

Dave Merrifield sent these to the Mixed Goods, but it is full so Greg sent them on to me. Mixed goods looks like being a good read again. Click here for some oldies jokes..
Thought of the day
Don't hurry. Don't worry.
Do your best and leave the rest!

Sunday 15th November
Sorry, I have been very slack aboout updating this column recently - having too much of a good time to think about work :)
We're in the middle of the Christmas Parties and having a ball!
We had Old Farts last Wednesday and there was a heap of people there. Must be fine weather bringing them out, or maybe it is the fantastic comraderie we have at these days.
Just something to think about. Sylvia and I never do anything interesting on New Years Eve. Anyone interested in having a run?? Maybe open to the Public for free rides? Just a thought.
Thought of the day
Always look on the bright side of life.
If you can't see the bright, polish the dull side.

Saturday 7th November
Just in case you had forgotten, we have a fantastic club.
Today, I took a cylinder to the club to find out the best way to do a job on it. Eventually, two ways were decided on. The best way, wasn't the easiest for me to do due to my limitations. The other way I was prepared to do because it was easier, but not as elegant. I said I would take the easy way out but one member said NO!. Let me borrow the cylinder and I will calculate where to drill the hole and give it back to you on Wednesday.
Next problem. Woody broke a connecting rod due to a number of factors. Not a problem, and I could make one and install it in a day. Small problem though, I was supposed to drive at a Christmas Party tomorrow, so I said I would drive the Ugly.
Rubbish said another member, I could make that in an hour. Here. Give it to me and you can have it tomorrow morning.
Thought of the day
I sure love this club!
Saturday 31st October
Workday today in preparation for the first of our Christmas Parties. Not a lot of us there, but we still did enough to keep The Boss happy.
One interesting thing was the number of comments to the 5 minute video Jeff took and I mentioned in the previous news bulletin.

Sunday 25th October
Yesterday was our workday leading up to today's PRD. Not a lot of members present, but we did everything that had to be done, and also some jobs that could have waited.
Todays PRD was washed out around 12:00 as the light rain turned into a drenching shower. Luckily, most were under cover before the worst of it hit. A pity as I was looking forward to a good day. I took some photos.
Jeff said he was amazed at how fast our volunteers work on a Saturday and took this 5 minute movie to show us. The Workers."Nothing to do with trains, but fascinating just the same. For some incredible examples of robots, look here.

Monday 19th October
The minutes for the Special Meeting about the fees and the October General meeting are in the members area. The delay was due to our Secretary being extra careful and getting the minutes checked by the President. Unfortunately the President was on holidays, thus the delay.
I have also updated the events calendar to show the Christmas Party Bookings. Your assistance at these fun parties is requested since I can't monopolise all the fun.
